Ryan Burge came off the bench to assist two goals as Sutton United beat much fancied Lincoln City 3-1 in the National League.
The former Port Vale and Newport County midfielder began the match against Lincoln on the bench and his introduction into the game on 56 minutes with the score level at one-apiece.
Two goals in the final seven minutes saw Paul Doswell’s side record their first win of the campaign, with Burge having a helping hand in both.
First, his corner was headed in by Jamie Collins and in stoppage time a driving run from Burge saw his effort on goal fall to the path of Roarie Deacon who had the simple task of tapping home.
The win for Sutton extended their unbeaten run to seven matches unbeaten when he has made an appearance, winning five and drawing twice.
Next up is a home fixture against Torquay United.
